How to Order for a Team Without the Headaches

Clipboard with a team size sheet listing player names, numbers and sizes, with a download icon

Ordering gear for a team, club or crew should be exciting, not a month of text messages and lost sizes. Whether you’re outfitting a race team, a minor hockey squad or your whole shop, a little organization up front makes the whole process smooth. Here’s how to do it, plus a free size sheet to keep everything in one place.

Our printable size sheet has room for 22 people with names, numbers, sizes and quantities, plus a size tally to make ordering easy. Print it out, pass it around at practice, then upload it with your order or email it to us.

Step 1: Pick one point person

Choose one person to collect sizes, confirm details and place the order. One contact keeps things from getting lost and means we always know who to reach with questions.

Step 2: Lock in the design and garment first

Decide on the garment, colour and design before collecting sizes. Changing the garment halfway through means re-checking everyone’s size. Make sure your artwork is print-ready. Our guide on how to prepare your artwork covers everything you need, and our print size and placement guide helps you choose where names and numbers go.

Step 3: Set a deadline

Work backward from when you need the gear. Give your team a firm date to submit sizes, and leave yourself a buffer before the season opener, race day or tournament. Late add-ons are the most common reason team orders get delayed.

Step 4: Collect sizes the right way

  • Use the size chart. Point everyone to the size chart on the product page instead of guessing.
  • Check youth vs. adult. Youth sizes (YS to YL) are cut smaller than adult sizes. Kids who are between sizes often do best in the larger one.
  • Compare to a favourite shirt. Have people measure a shirt that fits them well and match it to the chart.
  • Get it in writing. Use the size sheet or a shared spreadsheet, not memory or a group chat.

Step 5: Double-check names and numbers

Every piece is custom, so we print exactly what’s on your list. Before you submit, check spelling, capitalization and numbers with each person. A two-minute check now saves a reprint later.

Step 6: Collect payment before you order

Collect payment from everyone before placing the order. Use the “Notes / paid” column on the size sheet to keep track. It saves the point person from chasing money after the gear arrives.

Step 7: Choose pickup or shipping

Have your order shipped, or pick it up at one of our upcoming events. Event pickup is a great option for teams who’ll be at the track or tournament anyway.

Team order checklist

  • One point person
  • Garment, colour and design confirmed
  • Deadline set, with a buffer
  • Sizes collected on the size sheet
  • Names and numbers double-checked
  • Payments collected
  • Pickup or shipping chosen

Because team gear is made to order, custom pieces can’t be returned or exchanged, so a careful size check is worth the effort. Questions about sizing or your design? Reach out before you order and we’ll help.
